Is that the way you treat a guest?
Something buzzed just out of sight.
It kept me up throughout the night.
A true princess,” she said, perturbed,
“shouldn’t have her sleep disturbed.”
The queen replied, “I am impressed,
as you have passed a rigid test,
for far beneath your mattress tower,
something sits inside a flower.
Never has another stirred,
nor complained of what you heard.
Despite their beauty, grace and poise,
not a one could hear the noise.
A true princess, I will concede--
a true princess, you are indeed.
Anyone can feel a pea,
but a TRUE princess can sense a bee!”
