as the cold breath of winter wound
itself round and about, and froze up the air,
and hardened the dead leafy ground.
As the cold breath of winter wound
round, the white frost shimmered
and hardened the dead leafy ground,
and the ice water cracked and glimmered.
Round the white frost shimmered,
as the bears went seeking their shelter
and the ice water cracked and glimmered,
as they rolled down a hill helter-skelter.
As the bears went seeking their shelter,
they were so sleepily brave,
they rolled down a hill helter-skelter
and fell fast asleep in a cave.
