I’ve twisted the top-knots of knights
Beware when you sleep, past your pillow I’ll creep
to spoil silken locks out of spite.
I’ll tear through your hair like a whirlwind
I’ll trample and wriggle and twirl
I’ll dive and I’ll run ’til the damage is done
You’ll never escape… boy or girl.
Perhaps I’ll smear grease or splodge toothpaste
and sprinkle in nits for good measure
When mum tries to brush it, she can’t ever rush it
Your ‘Ooh’s and your ‘Ow’s give me pleasure.
So sssssh… when you wake, listen closely
as I chuckle and shout out with glee
I’m the bad fairy who messed up your hair
It was me!
It was ME!
IT WAS ME!
