wrestle the rush of a river
to learn how to run,
pin down the shadow of night
to learn how to hunt,
swallow the grinding of continents
to learn how to roar
and then pour itself
into the mountain's flexed muscle
to learn how to prowl
then we would see Lion,
long as a day
stronger than time
hunting all
who would be King.
