Make your own stinky scent
By leaving slugs to ferment.

I saw a monster with eyes so bright
Glinting in the darkest night
With teeth like razors and oh so long
There was little room left for its hairy tongue

I climbed a tree it was my only route
to try and escape this monstrous brute
Alas a branch broke and i fell down
With a massive bump against my crown

When I awoke i screamed with fear
And from my eyes there came a tear
For in my sight not far from view
not only one monster, but two.

Wow what a powerfully scary poem Sarah with a great punchline. I especially loved you description of the monster's teeth and tongue....yuck!

What a great punchline to a very scary poem. You've painted a very clear picture with your words, Sarah. Thanks for posting,

What, a monster who likes to read?
Why, I thought a fire it should breathe.
This is not at all a fright
What happened to stalking in the night?
Toes and bows
oh me, oh my
He couldn't be scary
if he tried.
I say, I said
this is the monster I want under MY bed.
