Chris the Pirate

Chris the pirate is on his ship,
Making pancakes flip, flip, flip.
Gorgeous Goldie is on the ship,
Sneaking up on Pirate Chris.
“Look at me,” comes Goldie’s cry,
Firing his pistol to the sky.
“ARGGGGGGHHHHH!” yells Chris grabbing his sword
And knocking Gorgeous Goldie overboard.
“Oops,” said Chris, “my mistake.
But at least I’ll eat all the pancakes.”

Hi Joel, Great poem! I love the line - Making pancakes, flip, flip, flip. it has such a great rhythm.

Never Trust an Octopus

Never trust an octopus,
The scurvy little locks.
They are just sharks
With no tooth marks
In their dirty socks.

Never trust an octopus,
They’ll eat you straight for dinner.
They’ll swallow you down in one gulp,
Then seat you in their inner.

Never trust an octopus,
They disguise themselves as humans.
But they’re very easy to make out,
The tea-drinking loonuns.
